Cruise Ship full Day Tours:
Getting into Rome from the Port of Civitavecchia: From your boat, I suggest going to the very near by/ easy to get to Civitavecchia train station and buy a full day B.I.R.G. ticket for only 9 euro that covers the trains to and from Rome, along with any random buses or metros we may use together for getting around. There are at least 3 convenient trains such as 7:33-8:50 (#3259) or 7:59-9:20 (#7157) or 8:41-9:50 (#2335). Trains from Civitavecchia almost always arrive between bins 26-28 pictured to the left. Private Tours can begin right from the area pictured to the left where people get off arriving from Civitavecchia in the Roma Termini Station, in front of the bar where that photo was taken. Private tours can cover your preferred highlights that are most fitting for you and exactly at your own pace. We can easily do a combination of my individual tours of ancient Rome, the Historical Center and also the Vatican. At sites of ancient Rome at this time of day, lines are almost always incredibly long, yet we'll be able to go straight in and the price for this entry is included in the price of the full day tour. Fast entry is also ensured at the Vatican, for which you will receive notes on in my response email to you. Here is a popular private full day itinerary: I'd suggest that we'd start off by going to the Baths of Diocletian, the nearby Moses Fountain of the Acque Felice that is right beside the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria and Bernini's incredibly famous statue of St. Theresa in Ecstasy. From there we'll hop into a taxi down to the church of San Clemente and its internal Temple of Mithras. We'll then continue right down the street for covering more highlights of ancient Rome. I'll already have tickets for the Colosseum for us, so we'll be able to then walk right in. The price for this entry is included in the price of the full day tour and we'll also use those same tickets for entering into the Forum. Total Price: 2 people: 400 euro for a full day of private touring that includes admission costs to one major location, such as the tickets for ancient Rome. © 2011 Rome Day Tours |
